Neil Young Live @ Burg Clam (Setlist, Pictures,...)

Last night (July 23th, 2016) I was fortunate to see Neil Young and his band "Promise Of The Real" live @ Burg Clam in Upper Austria. I've been to Burg Clam many times before (Slash, Mark Knopfler, ...) and it has always been a great atmosphere there. Yesterday was no exception.

What I like about Neil Young is that he has a strong message behind his songs. He criticizes the exploitation of mother earth, the greed of major corporations and social injustice to name a few topics.
Here's the lyrics of the new additional verse he plays at "Rocking In The Free World" in his 2016 shows:

  "We got a water cannon for the standing man
  Got misinformation from the corporation
  In the endless search for a drop of oil
  People's lives get ruined while we take it from the soil
  Got to show the children we just don't care
  Keep on burnin' it and put it in the air"

I was really surprised of Mr. Youngs great live sound. You can hear it in this video:

On Wednesday, May 25, the Steel City Festival took place at "Linzer Stadion". Headliner was Queen with Adam Lambert. Support bands were three Austrian bands: Wanda, Seiler & Speer, Krautschädl.

AXL/DC Live In Vienna 2016 (Pictures, Setlist,...)

Last night (May 19th, 2016) AC/DC played a live show in Vienna. It was their second tour stop in Austria of their Rock Or Bust World Tour. First stop was last year in Spielberg (check my report). This time Brian Johnson couldn't sing because of his partial hearing loss diagnosis. I hope this is not a permanent thing and I wish Brian all the best!
The replacement singer was none other than the great Axl Rose. His vocal performance was amazing. I saw this guy two times live with Guns N' Roses and I have to say that his AC/DC performance was much better. You could hear and feel that singing for AC/DC was his childhood dream. Before they played Whole Lotta Rosie he told the crowd that this was the first AC/DC song he ever heard and that it has changed his live. As you can see in the setlist below Axl added some alltime classics to their setlist: "Rock'N'Roll Damnation", "Givin' The Dog A Bone", "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" and "Riff Raff".
The Vienna show was the first show where Axl Rose could stand up while performing (he had broken his foot and performed the previous shows in a chair).

Wolfmother Live @ Arena Wien (Pictures, Setlist,...)

Yesterday (Wednesday, May 11th) Wolfmother played an open air show in Vienna (@ Arena Wien).

The support band was called Electric Citizen. Both bands did a great job and I would love to see them again.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in Linz (April 6th, 2016)

Yesterday (Wednesday, April 6th) Macklemore and Ryan Lewis played a show in Linz. They had 2 support acts: Xperience and Raury. Xperience was OK. He is an old rap colleague of the Mack. Raury was really bad in my opinion.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis hit the stage at about 21:30 and he more than compensated the weak support acts. They had many dancers, a strings and a wind section. Normally I'm a Rock'N'Roll fan, but I have to say that this concert was really awesome.

Black Stone Cherry Live In Linz (Pictures, Setlist...)

Yesterday (Wednesday, February 17th 2016) "Black Stone Cherry"played a Live-Show @ Posthof in Linz. The Support band was "Toseland".
It was a great show! Both bands rocked the stage. One thing I would like to point out is the drum playing of BSC-drummer John Fred Young. He is one of the best drummers alive.

Wolfmother: New Album "Victorious", Tour Dates for 2016, Single Releases, Artwork...

Wolfmother are back! The band around singer Andrew Stockdale announced that they are going to release a new studio album called "Victorious" on February 19th, 2016. They already uploaded their first two singles "Victorious" and "City Lights" on YouTube (see below). Those two songs are pure Rock'N'Roll. It seems that Wolfmother return to their roots. I'm really looking forward to hearing the full album and seeing this band live (again).

The band already announced tour dates for their upcoming North American tour (see below). Hopefully the European tour dates will follow soon.
